How to use:

Place one aromatherapy wax cube into the bowl of the cast in melter and level surface of your log burner, allowing the heat from your log burner to melt the wax naturally.  Always use heat-resistant gloves when handling the melter, as it becomes as hot as the stove, and ensure the log burner is never left unattended while in use.

Important Safety Instructions

To ensure safe use with your stove, always observe the following precautions:
  • High Heat Hazard: The cast iron melter will become as hot as your wood burner. Always use heat-resistant gloves or mitts when handling, moving, or adding wax to the melter.
  • Stable Placement: Ensure the melter sits securely on a flat, level surface on your stove top to prevent tipping or sliding.
  • Supervision & Reach: Never leave a lit log burner unattended while the wax melter is in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets at all times.
  • Handling Spills: Heated wax can cause severe burns. If wax spills onto surfaces, let it cool and solidify before attempting to remove it. Never pour molten wax down the drain.
  • Stove Compatibility: Always refer to your specific stove manufacturer’s instructions regarding top clearances and appropriate surface temperatures before placing accessories on your log burner.

Cleaning & Maintenance Safety Instructions
  • Allow to Cool: Never handle the melter while the log burner is lit or immediately after use. Let the cast iron and wax cool completely until the unit is safe to touch.
  • Wipe Residual Wax: Once completely cooled, use a paper towel to wipe away any leftover wax residue from the bowl.
  • Wash Gently: Wash the melter by hand using warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Do not submerge a scorching hot melter in cold water, as thermal shock can crack cast iron.
  • Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse away all soap residue with clean water.
  • Dry Immediately: Thoroughly dry the entire melter with a paper towel right after washing. Residual moisture can cause raw cast iron to rust.
  • Appliance Warning: Never place the cast iron melter in a microwave or dishwasher. Doing so will damage the product, ruin the finish, and potentially harm your appliances.
