Let me take you back to where it all began. It started on a completely ordinary evening, on a train ride home. I was living just outside Guildford at the time, and I happened to pick up a discarded copy of the Metro newspaper to pass the time.
I came across a beautiful article that completely stopped me in my tracks—a story about a gifted therapist who was blind and had set up his own dedicated practice.
The article described how he gave the most incredible Indian Head Massages, and his clients all said the exact same thing: that he possessed true healing hands.
Reading about his gift sparked something deep inside me. Inspired by his story, I searched for training and found a year-long, part-time course.

I remember the exact moment the (1 year) training started—this overwhelming, beautiful feeling washed over me that I had finally found my path. For the first time, I knew exactly what I was meant to do, and I was just so completely overjoyed. Driven by that simple spark and a deep desire to understand the human body, I quietly threw myself into years of study. I immersed myself in Clinical Reflexology, Anatomy and Physiology, Aromatherapy, Holistic Swedish Massage, Hot and Cold Stone Therapy, Japanese Facials, and Reiki. I wanted to learn every possible way to ease a busy mind and soothe a tired body.
Through all those hours of training, exams, and hands-on practice, my core mission never shifted. It is the exact same today as it was on day one: a simple, heartfelt intention to help people feel better.
ReCalm Holistic is the natural continuation of that journey. Every hand-poured candle, botanical room mist, and travel miniature is infused with that exact same care, formulated from twenty years of clinical practice to help you find your sanctuary, wherever you are.

Before long, my quiet practice grew into something incredibly busy. I was blessed with a wonderful community of loyal, regular clients alongside a constant stream of new faces.
My goal was simple: I wanted to offer the absolute best, most restorative treatments possible. To do that, I spent my rare days off researching, visiting top luxury spas across the country, and gathering the finest, most thoughtful details to weave directly into my own offerings.
Soon, the appointments completely filled up. I found myself deeply touched to have a waitlist stretching over six weeks for new clients.

Carla our founder spent a year meticulously fusing her knowledge of Aromatherapy, Reflexology, and Swedish Body Massage into her own formulations.
